When 1+1=1: That "Impossible" Connection

Seattle author, Argentine tango teacher, and student of life Gabriela Condrea is tango dancing her way literally around the United States, with boxes of books and a yellow hippopotamus. She will journey approximately 10,000 highway miles through 28 states, and Beatniks is honored to be one of the stops on her tour. Gabriela will be sharing her exploration of connection through her writing and her teaching of tango - Tango is About the Connection. These youngsters, aged 3 & 4 years, let loose on their art supplies and made something special for their friends and art admirers in the Heights.
Please join us this Friday 5-4-2012 from 6 - 8:30pm to kick off the summer properly; wild and free!
Bring yourself, bring your kids, bring other people's kids, just bring it!
Colorful, wild, abstract outfits are welcome but not mandatory.

Meredith Schaffer will be selling at Beatniks 5-4-12 from 6-8pm.
Pieces made from resin and tangrams, as well as sapphires, rubies, silver, and gold - there is certainly something for every mood, and
every budget. Meredith is deeply inspired by color interactions,
metaphysical stone properties, raw materials, art movements, and a
vast array of decorative arts.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
Parking is available in driveway, in front area of shop, on side streets: Beverly, 10 1/2 st, and 11 1/2st.

Megin has a great eye for both detail and quality. Her exquisite pieces are made with materials ranging from meteorites and dinosaur bone to repurposed treasures found on trips to exotic places. The pieces which will be arriving at Beatniks shortly are from her Spiritual Tourist Collection.
